Have you ever been advised that you shouldn't go to sleep while you're upset with someone? Or that you need to resolve anger before going to bed? Did you know that comes from the Bible? ( check it out ) Tue, Jun. 6th, 2006, 11:07 am
so, does anyone around here care that it's 6/6/06?? I'm not really concerned with it, other than it's a neat symmetric number.
I'm very pleased with this image, too. Trying b&w here....whatcha think? Mon, Jun. 5th, 2006, 08:38 am
this wasn't intentional, but I'm glad that I got the car in the shot. :-) It was nice of Joe to not be irritated with me for wanting to pull over on the side of the highway so I could take pix of the pretty flowers. So yup, that's our car!
well, we got back late Wednesday night....I've been pretty busy since then, well, that or just not felt like being on the computer. ;-) Are these poppies?
muuaaaa haaaahaa you can't get away!!! :-p Just one look--and it's today's! ya know what that means?? I'm not way behind with posting my FOTD!! Yay for me. ( Read more... )Ickkk there's a thunderstorm coming, and that means I'll have to unplug everything. Maybe there'll be some fun lightening to watch--I always love doing that! But, being a photographer, I can NOT take the chance of losing allll of my work that's on my computer. That would really be a mess. Later!! :-) Thu, May. 18th, 2006, 10:05 am herb stuff
I've had this tiny clearish wart on my thumb for a while now. I used a drugstore wart-remover thing once (the bandaid with stuff on it) and it got rid of it....I thought it was completely gone, but I guess not, cuz it came right back when the skin had healed.
At work I had read a few times about oil of oregano for wart removal. So, wth, I'm giving it a try. I put some of the oil on a bandaid last night, and wore it all night. YES, it smells strongly of oregano. Very much so. lol I had to keep my hand awaaaay from my face. Sure, I like oregano on my food, but I don't really want to reek of it. Ya know? Anyways, I had to remove the bandage this morning to shower & stuff. It looks like it had some effect on it already, and the area around it is sensitive. I'll be really excited for herb-stuff if this works nicely!
Heh...even after washing my hands a few times this morning, and then showering, my thumb is still slightly oregano-scented. lol
well, I've been experimenting with using my shadows wet. I read some comments somewhere that eyedrops work kinda like the mixing mediums you can buy, so I figured I'd give those a try. (I wanted something that would be easy to dispense in a drop at a time and not spill either.) I browsed the enormous selection of eye drops at Walgreens, and I picked out the one with the most glycerine in it, since I know that's in that glycerine:water recipe. I'm pretty happy with it. :-) (fyi--the glycerine is only 1% of the ingredients in the one I bought, and that was the highest amount I could find.) Sooo....what have I learned? My favorite brush, MAC 239 is NO GOOD for using we eyeshadow. But, the 213 brush IS! :-) (Oh, and I learned that if I leave my brushes on the table, one special pretty little 239SE will disappear. Courtesy of Fuzzy the kitten. Grrr.) And like everyone says, I don't want the brush to be too wet. Just damp. And for me, it was helpful to scrape some of a pressed shadow into a little pile in order to mix it with the liquid. For the first FOTD here, I used two shadows wet--the white one, and the highlight color. and ( Read more... )Does anyone notice those little red spot on the outside corners of my eyes? Why do I have that? Does anyone else have it? I've tried allll kinds of moistureizers, vitamin E cream, neosporin....I can't figure out why it's there & how to fix it. Any ideas? Have a nice day!!
I'll be showing how I did this look-- Please be warned....I used a million pix for this!! Most of them are not too large, but a few are. ( Read more... )
Here're THREE looks for you all today. :-) ( Read more... )Oh! I did a step-by-step thingy too. It's not really a tutorial, but more of a picture show of how I do my makeup. I will be posting that next, of this: Ok, that's all for now. :-) I'll go write out the entry of my step-by-step pictures now.
Rat, or Muskrat? (or something else?) ( Read more... )It roams our lawn, and lives under our house (in the crawlspace). We think it is the culprit of the power outage in the living room. Yeah, the electricity is out in the living room only. We wonder if it chewed through some wires...because flipping & switching circuit breakers didn't help. Suggestions?
This is even MUCH crazier than my usual picture-overload. NOT for dial-up users!!Let's get straight to it. Thumbs-- ( Read more... )Wheeewwwwww. Alrighty. Talk to me, people!!! Gosh...what am I going to do with my eyes today??? I better go look at some pix!
